Eva graduated from the Law School of Charles University in 1999. From 1997 to 1999 she worked in the insurance industry and from 1999 to 2004 at Allen & Overy. Eva has been a partner of Johnson Šťastný Kramařík since 2006.
Eva’s core practice is insurance law, where she has unique experience. She represents a number of insurers, brokers and corporate clients in insurance and reinsurance matters. Eva led the process of drafting insurance documentation for the entire product portfolio of AIG and has acted for major insurers (e.g. QBE, XL Insurance and AIG) in large and complex insurance claims. Eva participated in the drafting and negotiation of banking insurance products and advised in relation to transfers of insurance portfolios e.g. for AIG and QBE. Eva provided analytical support in relation to licencing and single passport issues, structuring of products and their distribution systems for AIG, Allianz, Amcico, RENOMIA and, Genworth. Apart from insurance, Eva’s practice also covers direct marketing, regulation of advertising, competition and unfair competition. Eva has also advised in relation to the implementation of the first electronic invoicing system in the Czech Republic and the structuring of DVB-H broadcasting by mobile operators. Eva has been involved in a number of M&A transactions.

Roman Kramařík

Partner


Roman graduated in 1997 from the Law School of Charles University, where he continued with post-gradual studies and obtained a Ph.D. in 2000. Roman has been an advocate since 2000.
He commenced his practice as a trainee in the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris (1994), in UBS Geneva (1994), UBS Hong Kong (1995) and White & Case (1995 to 1997). Between 1997 and 2003 Roman worked for Allen & Overy in the Prague and London offices. He has been a partner of Johnson Šťastný Kramařík since 2004. Roman’s experience includes representation of major international clients in substantial M&A transactions, the conversion of Česká rafinérská into a processing refinery, finance and operating leases of aircraft for Czech Airlines, Travel Service and Fischer Air and acting for major multinational clients in high-profile disputes. Roman is a co-author of the standard form concession agreement for PPP projects in the Czech Republic.

Roman Šťastný

Partner


Roman graduated (summa cum laude) from the Law School of Charles University in 1997. Between 1994 and 1995 Roman also read French and EU law at the University of Provence (France) and between 1993 and 1998 studied at the Faculty of international relations of the Prague School of Economics. Roman obtained a post-graduate degree (LL.M.) in 1999 from the University of Michigan Law School (USA).
From 1995 to 2005 Roman worked for Linklaters (initially Alliance of European Lawyers). Since 2006 Roman has been a partner of Johnson Šťastný Kramařík.
Roman regularly represents UniCredit Bank Czech Republic, a.s. in relation to the financing of real estate projects. The most important transactions have involved financing of logistics centres in Zdiby and Klecany u Prahy, the financing of one of the first acquisitions by a Czech real estate fund, the financing of a hotel of a leading international operator and the financing of residential, office and retail projects. Roman works with a number of other banks in the Czech Republic, including Československá obchodní banka, a.s.. Roman also acts for developers, such as Sudop, a.s. and Lordship, s.r.o.. Roman has also advised in relation to the sale and lease-back of a hangar of Czech Airlines, the lease of one of the leading Prague restaurants and on a large number of other real estate transactions and corporate acquisitions..

Nicholas Johnson

Of-counsel


Nick read law at King's College, London and has been a solicitor since 1992. He had lived and worked in London and Tokyo before settling in Prague in 1996. Prior to setting up JSK he was with Allen & Overy.
He has worked on projects all over Central and Eastern Europe and beyond including Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Russia and Slovakia.
He has advised companies and governments on some of the most important transactions in the region including the sale of Živnostenská banka, the privatisation of ČSOB and the privatisation of České Radiokomunikace.
